Look toward the Light. Guard the heart. Let gladness show on your face.
Lighten Up™ (01) — Faces of Gladness™ transforms a familiar modern expression into a vibrant scriptural statement about radiance, gladness, the heart, and the countenance.
Part of TRP Seven Bold Statements™, the design combines glowing smile-filled imagery, expressive typography, brilliant color, and Scripture to explore a simple but profound idea: what happens within the heart can become visible upon the face.

📜 TWO SCRIPTURES. TWO PERSPECTIVES. ONE MESSAGE.
Faces of Gladness™ is presented through two complementary scripture variations.
☀️ The Radiant Countenance™—Psalm 34:5 Edition
“They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.”
— Psalm 34:5, KJV
The first variation looks outward toward Yahuah.
In the Hebrew Scriptures, the face or countenance—panim (פָּנִים)—can communicate far more than physical appearance. The countenance can reveal joy, sorrow, fear, confidence, shame, favor, and the condition of the inward person.
Here, the glowing faces become symbols of radiant countenances.
They looked.
They were lightened.
Their faces were transformed.
They were not ashamed.
LIGHTEN UP therefore becomes more than an instruction to become cheerful.
It becomes an invitation to look toward Yahuah and become radiant.

❤️ Medicine of the Merry Heart™ — Proverbs 17:22 Edition
“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine…”
— Proverbs 17:22, KJV
The second variation turns inward.
The Hebrew concept of the heart—lev/levav (לֵב / לֵבָב)—encompasses more than emotion. It speaks to the inward person: thought, intention, understanding, desire, courage, and disposition.
The smiling faces therefore represent more than temporary happiness.
They symbolize gladness becoming visible.
The heart affects the countenance.
The inward condition produces an outward testimony.
Together, the two editions express the central movement of Faces of Gladness™:
HEART → GLADNESS → LIGHT → COUNTENANCE → LIFE

😊 MANY FACES. ONE INVITATION.
Large and small. Red and gold. Cyan and green. Bold and partially hidden.
The repeated faces remain individual while participating in the same field of gladness.
TRP takes the familiar smiley—a recognizable symbol of contemporary visual culture—and places it within a scriptural framework.
The smile becomes a countenance.
The countenance points toward the heart.
The heart speaks of gladness.
And gladness becomes a testimony of life, renewal, and radiance.

🎨 TRP NEON SYMBOLIC POP EXPRESSIONISM™
Lighten Up™ (01) is rendered in TRP Neon Symbolic Pop Expressionism™, combining luminous contour work, symbolic repetition, expressive graffiti-inspired typography, pop iconography, energetic splashes, and high-contrast color.
The smile-filled pattern flows directly into the oversized LIGHTEN UP lettering, making image and statement inseparable.
The brilliant forms appear almost electrically illuminated against black, while the white-ground scripture editions bring the same imagery into an atmosphere of clarity and openness.
This contrast creates a visual dialogue between darkness and illumination, inward gladness and outward expression.

🌈 THE COLOR LANGUAGE
The palette carries its own symbolic vocabulary.
Gold and yellow evoke radiance, preciousness, and the splendor associated with gold throughout the biblical Tabernacle tradition.
Red introduces life, blood, vitality, and intensity.
Cyan and turquoise suggest refreshing water, renewal, and visual restoration.
Green speaks naturally of growth, flourishing, and renewed life.
Black provides depth and darkness from which the luminous forms emerge.
White creates clarity, openness, visibility, and an appropriate visual environment for the countenance that is “not ashamed.”
Rather than functioning as a rigid biblical color code, these colors work together as a symbolic visual language of life emerging, light appearing, and gladness becoming visible.

☀️ LIGHTEN UP™
This collection does not present joy as denial, forced positivity, or pretending that life's burdens do not exist.
Its message runs deeper.
Guard the inward person.
Look toward Yahuah.
Receive light.
Choose gladness.
Let the countenance testify.
Because sometimes “Lighten Up” means more than a smile.
Sometimes it means:
Become radiant.
